She is an Omaha Police Officer working on the Mayor’s Security Staff; she competes nationally with the 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation; and she works out locally with Police Athletics for Community Engagement (P.A.C.E. Omaha). She is Mechelle Keller-Curtin, and she is this quarter’s triple play story. P.A.C.E. Omaha and our kids participating in Detective Espejo’s Kinship CrossFit fitness classes have had the pleasure of working-out with Mechelle, who is an excellent role model for our P.A.C.E. kids. She has been training with Patty Failla, the owner of the Fit Farm Gym, but finds time in her busy schedule to also attend the Monday Kinship CrossFit classes at Christie Heights to work-out with our P.A.C.E. kids. Mechelle recently competed in the 100% Raw Powerlifting Federation’s Midwest Open held on March 18th at the Holiday Inn at the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. During the day long competition, Mechelle was able to set three State records in dead lift, bench press and squat categories in the Master’s Division for Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters and Military. Her dedication to health and fitness is a shining example of the role model the P.A.C.E. staff wants our kids to experience. Together, we are all making a difference. With each child we impact, we strengthen our entire community. Congratulations to Mechelle Keller-Curtin for being this quarter’s 3XP professional!
