OMAHA, Neb. —
Children in metro are spending Friday night with police officers.
The P.A.C.E. program at the Omaha Police Department is having an overnight adventure for the kids.
They will spend the whole night playing games, watching movies and learning about law enforcement.
This is the first event like this the police department has done.
They say this gives kids a fun-filled night and gives parents a break.
Officer Antonio Espejo said, "It's a night they can actually feel free to interact with police officers and we're going to play a lot of games, we're going to have crafts. It also helps out the parents because now parents technically parents get the night off. "
The kids will also make and wrap presents for their loved ones just in time for the holidays.
