Police Athletics for Community Engagement (PACE)

The P.A.C.E. program was started in 2005 by the Omaha Latino Peace Officers Association in conjunction with the Police Athletic League and area volunteers. The program is dedicated to preventing “at-risk” and disadvantaged inner-city children from becoming involved in street gangs, crime, drug use and victimization. It provides an opportunity to develop discipline, self-esteem and positive moral values through wholesome competition and "free" participation in soccer, baseball, CrossFit and flag football. P.A.C.E. has always stressed the importance of education to our youth, and we now offer "free"  A.C.T. preparation classes to our high school participants.

GET INVOLVED

YOUR involvement in our programs makes everything we do possible!

The P.A.C.E. program started in 2005 by the Latino Peace Officers Association in conjunction with the Police Athletic League and volunteers. The program is dedicated to preventing “at risk”, inner-city children from becoming involved in gangs, crime and drug use. It provides an opportunity to develop discipline, self-esteem and positive moral values through wholesome competition.

Donations fund equipment purchases, field maintenance, and uniforms. Every penny of your donation goes towards this LOCAL program. Because of sponsor support, these services have been provided at no cost to all participants.

This program is not only a constructive outlet for the children to be involved in, but it also gives them a sense of pride and what it means to be part of a team. This is a great program for children who would not be able to afford participation in other sports leagues/clubs.

COACHING

Plain and simple, we need your help.  Our officers volunteer their time to coach and help at games, but we could always use more involvement from our community.  If you have any experience with soccer or baseball, please contact us for volunteering information.

SPREAD THE WORD

Spread the word.  The more kids we can reach, the more involvement we have, the bigger the impact we can make. Please tell your friends, co-workers, family members about our wonderful program. Mention our program on your Facebook or Twitter. We would really appreciate the exposure.
